how it works:

  • Our Friend of the Farm card is a flexible system that allows you to purchase the kind of produce you want, when you want it.

  • Like a traditional CSA, you become a Friend of the Farm in the spring at your choice of five different levels – $200, $300, $400, $500, $600 and $800 – depending on your veggie purchasing needs. This provides start-up income for the farm before the market season begins. A 5% of your buy-in amount will be added on to your card as a thank you for joining our CSA

  • Unlike traditional CSAs, you don’t receive a weekly box of produce. Instead, an actual card will be pre-loaded with your purchased amount, plus an additional 5% as a thank you and incentive for signing up. This card can then be used at our stand at the various markets we participate in, allowing you to purchase any produce you want and in the quantities you prefer. Your account will be credited each time you purchase produce. We have found that this system is friendly and flexible for people's active summer schedules and allows for more purchasing freedom.

  • You can add money throughout the season to your card however you will not receive an additional 5%

  • Unspent money will not rollover to the next year

benefits:

  • 5% of your buy-in amount will be added on to your card as a thank you for joining our CSA (ie. if you sign up for $200, $210 will be added to your card)

  • Multiple buy-in amounts that accommodate your family’s specific veggie needs and busy summer schedules

  • No need to have cash with you at the market.

  • Receive a weekly email of available produce and seasonal/crop-specific recipes.

  • Encourages Friends of the Farm to support other local farms at the markets as we will not be growing everything.

  • An invite to our Friends of the Farm potluck, farm tours and farm work parties
